Creating a location overview

In the Autodrop 3d cloud a location is required for printers to live in. When users request some thing get printed the part is sent to a locations queue. The queue then routs the part to a printer at that location based on the material and size limitations of the available machines.

Creating a location step by step

Step 1: Select the organization to manage using the org drop down in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Navigate to the Locations tab under the organization area.

Step 3: Click the "Create New" button and fill in the form that appears. You can use google maps to get the LAT and LONG. After the location is created the profile image can be added if desired.
  • "Public Ordering" will allow the location to be listed as a public printing location. Any one will be able to order parts and get them made at your location. It is recommended that this option be activated after pricing has been set up.
  • "Moderate ordering internal" will require an administrator to approve prints for user in the group. This would most commonly be used in school environments.
  • "Moderate ordering external" will require all prints from outside your organisation to be approved by an administrator.
